In order to provide the best possible service, Aibel has set up offices close to their customers all along the Norwegian coast. Projects are often carried out in close cooperation between the staff of several offices, which requires a high standard of communication tools and a unified execution model. Aibel is a supplier of EPCIC services (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning). Prefabrication for the various maintenance and modification projects is carried out at the company’s yard in Haugesund.

As a total supplier, Aibel has substantial experience from the entire value chain of oil and gas projects. This has provided them with valuable expertise that can be applied to all new projects, particularly studies and pilot projects, where a good understanding of the subsequent project phases is essential for good recommendations

Main tasks

  • Leading the people and the projects to successful fulfilment
  • Manage contracts and day-to-day operations, within the business unit so that Aibel’s interests are safeguarded in the best possible way
  • Be an active, clear and visible leader in all relevant HSE and Quality related issues
  • Report regularly to EVP on status, opportunities and possible problem areas, and propose solutions to these challenges
  • Be the company's representative to the customer in matters that go across the contract
  • Facilitate that the organization has a good working environment where goals and success are essential for the employees
  • Be an active and constructive member of the Aibel Brownfield division management team (MODY Management Team)
  • Drive employee engagement and actively develop new talent within the M&M field

Requirements

  • M.Sc from engineering disciplines or other relevant education
  • Financial/commercial and contractual experience
  • Strong experience from the infrastructure industry will be attractive
  • Operational experience  
  • Ability to drive strategic thinking in line with the overall Aibel corporate strategy as well as the specific business area of Maintenance & Modifications and MOD EPC projects.
  • Good commercial understanding
  • Experience with stakeholder management
  • Profit & Loss responsibility experience
  • Good knowledge of the Norwegian continental shelf
